For four consecutive academic years (2020-2024) we have been collaborating with the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences (Germany) developing curricula and teaching courses within their Bachelor’s in Social Work and Master’s in Childhood Studies and Children’s Rights programmes. The topics of our courses include:
- Introduction to the Sociology of Childhood(s)
- Tensions between child protection and child participation in practice and research
- Social work with a child-rights approach: international and intercultural perspectives
- International Children’s Rights Instruments
- Children Associated with Armed Forces and Armed Groups (CAAFAG)
- Media with and for children: practical insights
