CLIENT: INTERNATIONAL RESCUE COMMITTEE (IRC)

We collaborated with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), within the framework of their Strengthening Protection & Reintegration for Children (SPARC) programme targeting children associated with armed forces or armed groups (CAAFAG). We developed the entire training package of “Growing Strong Together: A Parenting Program to Support the Reintegration of Children and Prevent their Recruitment”. The training materials are based on our desk review of evidence on designing and implementing parenting programmes in conflict settings, and they include:
- A Parenting Curriculum, to support caregivers to protect children and adolescents (8-20 years) from recruitment and promote their family reintegration.
- A Trainer Guide, to help facilitators in the implementation of the sessions of the Programme.
- A Family Visit Visits Guide to support social workers and case managers in conducting safe family visits.
